Melton Carnegie Museum has some gardening volunteers who want tio help the church by re-doing the flower beds.
To raise money for plants and compost, a Cream Teas was held in the Garden of Remembrance next to the church, on Saturday 1 September. It was a huge success, raising over £350. This is the first time such an event has taken place in the church garden, and it was blessed with beautiful weather and a very good attendance. Visitors enjoyed scones with clotted cream and home made jam, fresh strawberries and a selection of home made cakes, as well as playing on the tombola. Guided Tours of the church were available.
