A completely new venture! We have seven gardens open to the public, many with refreshments, plant sales and more. A wide variety of sizes and types of garden, each unique and each offering a different sensory experience. The church will be open too, with its small but award-winning garden, so visitors can learn more about its history. Also the Convent is opening its garden from 1:30 pm; different again, as the fields which the Sisters used to farm to support themselves are now uncultivated but a haven for wildlife. Five other private gardens are open, and their owners are eagerly waiting to welcome you. Some are beautifully kept; some are more natural / untidy (delete to taste!), but all are interesting. Admission is only £5 for adults with accompanied children free, and that gets you into all the gardens. The weather forecast is good, so come out and make a day of it! Browse, get some garden ideas, have a cuppa and chat, buy a plant and have a really good time! Tickets, a list and a map are now available and can be ordered by emailng franceslevett@gmail.com or phoning 07790 631635. Or you can buy tickets at any garden on the day.
